Top 3 Immigration Programs to Immigrate to Canada in 2020

The department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) have set a mark of 341,000 admissions in 2020 under various Canada Immigration Programs. This target will include 49,700 protected persons and about 4,500 humanitarian and other programs that do not fall under the normal immigration stream. That leaves about 286,800 potential opportunities to score a permanent residency in Canada in 2020.
Out of all the potential admissions, the highest amount, about 85,800 are reserved for Federal High Skilled Program under the Express Entry program. Another 67,800 are available through the Provincial Nominee Program(PNP). Further, the Care Provider Pilot will create 5000 immigration opportunities and the Atlantic Immigration Program will create a further 4000 opportunities.

Express Entry System:
The skilled worker class has it easier when it comes to getting accepted for a residency, they are considered by many to be the most effective way to gain entry to Canada. Anyone who has at least a year of experience in full time managerial, professional or skilled trade work experience may apply for express entry. Under this category, the officials will take into consideration your age, work experience, education and your field of interest and points will be given accordingly.

Provincial Nomination Program:
This type of residency happens when a specific Canadian province chooses you to move to it. You can secure a provincial nomination even if you do not have a valid job offer from the province you aim to settle and live in if they believe you will add value to their economy.

Care Providers Pilots
As of 18 June 2019, Canada has launched two new home caregiver pilots to help home support providers immigrate to Canada. They serve as replacements for the LCP (Live-in Caregiver Program), which was closed to new applicants at around the same time. Under these 2 new pilots, you will be able to apply for permanent residence if you have a valid job offer or already have work experience in Canada as a caregiver and also one must meet the eligibility requirements.

Atlantic Immigration Pilot
You are eligible to apply for permanent residency through this pilot if you are planning to settle, live and work in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island or Newfoundland and Labrador. This pilot is for people who:
Are an international graduate from a post-secondary institution in one of the four Atlantic provinces; or
Have a valid full-time job offer under the NOC level 0, A, B or C – Skilled and semi-skilled workers; and
Meet the qualifications such as work experience, education, language ability and proof of funds.
